MyFSMTA Makes Its Debut!

FSMTA is very happy to report that MyFSMTA is now a reality!  Members can renew online, participate in the Therapist Locator, add modalities, change addresses and phone numbers, apply for new liability insurance…all the things we’ve been working on for so long!  It is VERY exciting for us and will make it very easy for you, our members, to make changes to your record any time of day or night!  Rather than having to call central office, leave a message that you  have a new address, waiting on a call back and playing telephone tag…you can now log on to your member record and make those changes yourself.  If you do not have access to a computer, do not worry…we will always accept applications and renewals through the mail or by fax…and will continue to be available by phone to assist you.

Listed below are the basic steps, but always know that the Central Office staff is available if you have trouble logging on, need your password or have any other questions.  This service does not replace human contact with the staff…but it does enhance what FSMTA offers you and from here FSMTA can add on additional services for you.   

  1. Log onto www.fsmta.org
  2. On the left side of the home page, click Members Log-In.  This takes you to the MyFSMTA Login page.
  3. If you are already an FSMTA member, you will have a username and password…DO NOT create a new MyFSMTA Account!  This will create a duplicate record for you.  Your username is by default your email address.  The computer automatically assigns you a password, so the first time you log on, you will need to click the Don’t Know Your Password?  Just Click Here link, enter your email address and your password will automatically be emailed to you.  If for any reason your email address is NOT in our database, then you will be prompted to call us and we will give you that information over the phone.  Once you log in the first time, you will be able to change your username and password so that it’s easy for you to remember.
  4. Once you log in, you will see a message like this:

Welcome to the MyFSMTA Secure Portal, (your name)  Your membership is current through: (your expiration date). 

From this screen you can renew your membership, apply for liability insurance AND view your profile.  If you click on View Profile at the top of the page, you will see your information as it appears in our database.  There are links to change your username and/or password, and also a link to update your profile.  When you click on Update Profile you will be able to change/update your contact information, opt in or out of the Therapist Locator function, and manage your modalities. 

The best way to become familiar with the new system is to TRY IT OUT!!!  If you make a mistake and can’t undo it, then call central office at 877-376-8248…they are usually able to fix little mistakes and if they can’t then their programmer can! Take a look at the new Therapist Locator function too…this is a great tool for the public when looking for a therapist in their area.

So…log on to www.fsmta.org and take advantage of all the new features on the site.
